Happy Father's Day...
This is the Father's Day card that I created for my Dad this year! The picture in the middle was painted by my mother, Phyllis Mae Richardson Fisher in 1981. The original is Acrylic on Wood.
My very first memory that I have of my father is when we lived in Henderson, Nevada on Elm Street. I had to have been about 3 1/2 ~ 4 years old. Even though we have pictures, I can remember him working on his dune buggy and going to Sunrise Mountain to find these huge big white rocks that my parents put in the round flowerbed in the front yard, along with a fountain and pink primrose flowers. I remember him taking us to the A&W stand where we would get a papa, mama and two baby burgers along with A&W Rootbeer! And after church we would go to the Sizzler.
I also remember that he added an intercom system to our house on Elm Street that fed music outside to our plants, bushes, trees and us kids while we were playing in the yard. The music was set to a radio station called "Silver and Candlelight" and to this day I know the tunes to thousands of songs because of my Dad. The picture below is of my brother showing our Dad what he is going to do next to his Honda Dirt Bike! My bother has a dune buggy (or desert runner) too!

You Gotta Love PayPerPost...
...because you can earn enough money posting on your blog to help pay the bills or buy something you have always wanted but didn't want to use grocery money to get it! I have been with PayPerPost since January of this year and have missed out on helping with the bills or buying a zoom lense for my camera.
But no more, I will be posting regularly about new deals or websites, giving my opinion about a new product or a review on a new movie. I have made $20.00 on just 3 posts and look forward to paying the monthly bills for our family business, so that my parents can spend that money on themselves for a change.

Half a Reunion...
I say half a reunion only because not all of my mother's brothers and sisters were able to attend our family get together in Oregon last 4th of July! Here is the picture that I promised a couple of posts ago. The butterfly post slipped in!
I love this picture because it is of my mother and three of her siblings! Seated from left to right are: Reece, Marjorie, Phyllis (my mother) and Shirley. The other four siblings are Beth, Ray, Walter, and Jessie and they were missed!! Beth is the oldest, then Shirley, Ray, Walter, Marjorie, Reece, Phyllis and then Jessie is the baby! I would love to get a picture of all eight of them. I just remembered that my mother drew a picture of her family. I will look for it and post it!
BTW...the pond in the background was built by my mother's brother Reece. It has a spraying fountain out in the middle and the pond is big enough to paddle a canoe in!

I have missed about three days since the last post mentioning brushing my hair an additional 100 strokes each day! Oops!!! Or as they say nowadays "my bad!"
The word of the day is "leitmotif" \LYT-moh-teef\, noun:
1. In music drama, a marked melodic phrase or short passage which always accompanies the reappearance of a certain person, situation, abstract idea, or allusion in the course of the play; a sort of musical label.
2. A dominant and recurring theme.
I will be incorporating this word into my blog...in the title or description.
