Rosemary said...: We had a great Thanksgiving Day with all our family together. I hope you had the same. We used my Mama's table setting at the table we have been gathering around for many, many years. Only now, the house belongs to our older daughter and her hubby. It felt very comforting to be eating a holiday meal there, even though all our parents are gone now. Memories flood my mind as I write this, and the tears are starting to flow.

Ours was reminiscent of Thanksgiving Days before my brother and I got married and had families of our own. Momma, Daddy, my brother and I shared the meal at the table that my brother and Dad made back in 1978, discussing how my sons were doing in Texas and then we watched Hallmark movies until midnight!
