Happy Mother's Day!!!

Year after year we try to let you know, Of the love we carry in our hearts from the love that you have sown. For the care that you gave us each and every day, And when you stood beside us when we couldn’t find our way. You clothed and fed us throughout our younger years, And held us when we couldn’t hold the tears. That is why there are not enough words that will convey... ...How we really feel about you on Mother’s Day!

This is the card I created for my mother for this special day! Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers who read this blog!!!

I have special memories of coming home from school and my mother would always have the house cleaned and she would usually be working in her yard. However, when I went inside there would be an after school snack waiting for my brother and I on the kitchen table or counter. The snack that sticks out in my memory is of the Armenian Cucumbers soaked in vinegar! We grew the cucumbers in our garden. We also grew yellow crooked-neck squash, summer squash, zucchini squash, tomatoes, carrots, and regular cucumbers.

My Mother...

My mother...Phyllis Mae Richardson Fisher is my friend. She has always been there for me. When I was little I knew that when I got home from school, she would be there and she would have something special for my brother and I to snack on. What stands out in my memory is "Soapapilla's" when I was in the 2nd grade, and Armenian Cucumber's soaked in vinegar in the 6th grade! Our home was always spic and span and our yard was a gardener's paradise. She made my clothes for me when I was in kindergarten through 2nd grade, made me take piano lessons, made paper dolls for me, and let me watch her while she painted. After I had back surgery in 2001, she came out of retirement and started a home-based business with me.
